1997 Mitsubishi Eclipse electrical probs

I was driving down the road yesterday doing 50 in fifth gear when the whole car shut off the only thing that works is the headlights. The car wont turn over. The stereo wont even turn on. The battery is fine so I'm thinking a ground wire but I don't know. The car wont catch in gear.

Start following and inspecting wires under the hood first. If you've got a test light you can find where you've got power and not. You can also hook it to battery positive and check for grounds
