How do I replace stoplight switch on 97 Grand Marquis?

here's what it should look like/location on upper part of brake pedal.do you have basic mechanical skills/knowledge?

looks like remove cotter pin, slide off post with master rod remove plug put it on new unit and reassemble. be careful to inspect how it is assembled so you get it back on right.
