A/c problem

1997 Mercury grand marquis just now started blowing hot air. Worked just fine yesterday. Do I just need refrigerant?

You should first get the system pressures tested, if it is low on refrigerant you will have a leak that needs finding and fixing first, best way to do this is get some leak detector dye added to the system with a small charge of refrigerant, the dye will stain when it is leaking.
