The cat on my 97 jeep wrangler has been removed for a while. The check engine came on so I ran a diagnostics on it, came up as both up and downstream 02 sensors, I replaced the upstream and it still runs funny. The diagnostics after I replaced the upstream said its the downstream but because I dont have a cat their is no downstream

Put on aftermarket cat back on the vehicle. Find them at a reasonable price at rockauto. Com or cheapautoparts. Com ECT. Then reinstall the downstream sensor. I realize that it may have run fine for a while without the sensor. But the computer has finally caught on to your game. Not to mention that it is illegal to eliminate or alter pollution controls on any vehicle equipped with them.
