Jeep Grand Cherokee Engine Problem

On my jeep it has the 4.0 6cyl. i am have a prblem with the engine starting and staying running . for some reason you now have to hold your foot on the brake pedal in order for the engine to crank and stay running . if you remove or let the brake pedal up the engine will die and stop running. do you have any idea why this may be happening? thank you robert

Check the vacuum line on the power brake booster, which is the drum behind the brake master cylinder. Check for vacuum leaks in the line running from it to the intake.
