Jaguar XK8 Battery Problem
I changed the battery in my original remote door lock/unlock device. The car doesn't start as if the engine is in lock-out mode so that my key no longer works. Could changing the battery cause the engine to be in lock-out mode? If so, how do I unlock?

look in your manual on how to reset your security system. that may be the problem.
