MANUFACTURE CODE MOD $11 WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?

1997 Jaguar XJR • 160,000 miles

Used actron scan tool and know that cylinder 6 is misfiring which one is that front of engine or back. Manufacture code also mod $11 and codes P1316 and P1314 what are those? Thanks!

P1314-Left Catalyst Damage, Misfire Detected
P1316-Misfire Rate Above Limit
Cylinder numbering begins at the front of the engine.

Check the fuel injector, make sure it's pulsing properly. Check the plugs and wires. Check compression. Compression Should be around 120-150PSI and not vary by 15% from highest to lowest.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! Thank you for the quick answer! Does MOD $11 mean the same as the other codes. Can I just switch wires to see if its just the coil which is on top of the spark plug wire? Hope it's just the coil! Thanks again! Greer

Ahhh. I didn't search for scantool instruction sheets. Just the error code.

Those are not error codes. They are the various modes of the computer. Mode 6 is the one we are most familiar with for misfire data and other unprocessed data.
