Aligning timing marks 97 Rodeo
97 Isuzu Rodeo 3.2L. Changing water pump and timing belt. Can't get the old belt marks (original-intact) to line up with the marks on the pulleys according to manual diagram. Do I keep turning the crankshaft clockwise until all the marks line up?
(Core problem is with the water pump) Vehicle runs.

You need to put the engine no.1 piston on its compression stroke/TDC and then align the cam and crank markings then put the belt on, also make sure the rotor is pointing to no.1 cap tower
