1997 Isuzu Hombre V6, - Two black wires, does it matter which black wire is attached to truck black wires?

On the new wire harness for the fuel pump I'm installing there are two black wires and one seems to be a little thicker then then the other and the black wires on the truck are the same size.

Does it matter which black wire is attached to the ones on the truck?

Use the old one and match it up with new to tell which letter is which. That's all you have to do use it as color key as well that's what I would do.

The new connector on the left is a different shape than the old connector so I don't know how to match them up Because they don't line up the same.

The wires coming out the bottom of the module are two blue wires and a black and gray. I got the pump from am-autoparts. Com and the part number is AM-64181140.

Is the black and the gray going to the fuel pump? You could jump the two black wires to a battery and see which way they pump fuel. You said one black wire is larger the other? My guess is the larger wire is the power wire.

Disregard what I just said I must getting too tired to answer questions. Look at the new connector you will see the black wire and gray wire right next to each other. Plug the new connector into the new fuel pump module then put power to the gray wire and ground to the black wire right next to it. Does the fuel pump run?If so those are the power and ground to the fuel pump. To find the ground from the wire harness for the fuel pump use your ohms meter to see which black wire is grounded that one goes to the ground side of the fuel pump. Iam headed to bed let me know what you find.

The two blue wires are going down to the float and the black and gray go to a connector and out of the other end of that connector they change color to a black and red and run down into the bottom of the module which i'm assuming is the pump your talking about. Yes, one of the black wires does seem to be just a bit larger then the other one. I haven't installed the new pump yet and not sure what you mean by jumping the to black wires to a battery.
