1997 Honda Passport Repair Question

Hello i have a 97 honda passport and my little bro dove it with out oil, and now ovcourse its making a nocking sound and when i excelerate it i hear a smooth metal grinding noise, but the sound isn't coming from the bottom, its coming from the top, so what do you think the resolution could be,please?

It sounds like the cam bearings. That is where I would start.
