1997 Honda Accord Repair Question

Tranny
My car wont take off from a dead stop when in d4 or d3 the rpm increases but the speed does not. i have been shifting down to 2nd to take off

Have you checked for codes yet in the computer?

No I took it to an tranny shop for a free check and they said it wasent communicating with their computer that might be because of a wire. and i didnt have enough money to have them run a full diagnostics on it

If reverse is working and after taking off with 2, the gears shift correctly after that, you have a bad 1st clutch and this means the transmission requires a rebuild or replacement.

Sounds like more then one problem.
