I have a 1997 p-3500 step van with a 6.5 diesel engine/not turbo.

It starts and runs very well, then after a few minutes,white/gray looking smoke starts to go from light to heavy, but it still runs fine. What is causing this?? I have been told that it could be EGR vaulve, but it is ok. Where do I look next.

Make sure your vehicle isn't using coolant. Check fuel pressure.
