To retrieve differential side gears that fell into transaxle after pulling out CV Joint?
After I pulled the CV axle for replacement,the side gear fell down into the transaxle, I have been trying to get a magnet to retrieve the gear to pull back in place, but there is no success, is there an easier way to retrieve it without taking the transmission apart?

sorry, no there is not. it will have to be removed as there are shims there as well.
