I have a ford 2.0 sohc motor in my 97car escort and i want to put a 2.0 dohc motor in it and was going to use all my hookups and only the block and head off the 2.0 dohc motor. Will it work?

no, different motor. you need wiring harness, all sensors and computer. a lot more to it than you think.
