Seems the fan control is stuck on defrost. Reguardless of which setting I select, the fan only blows onto the windshield in defrost mode. Temperature control and A/S on/off works fine, only the fan direction is messing up.

I realize this is vacume controled, where is a good place to start troubleshooting? And what suggestions can you give?

Check for a vacuum leak, start at the engine then check your vacuum motors on theheater box under the dash.

Spent the better part of an afternoon chasing out the vacume system looking for leaks. Turns out it wasn't a vacume leak. The control switch had gone bad. $50 at an auto salvage yard and 20 minutes to change out, and it's good as new.

Thanks hmac300 for the advice. I would have bet on a vacume leak too.
