1997 Chevrolet Truck Repair Question

Chevy starter
I have a 1997 k1500 v8 5.7 chevy z71 truck that needs a starter. i have several friends who have blazers and chevy trucks that they are parting out. I am looking to get a used starter or rebuilt one, can you tell me if i can get a starter from another vehicle besides a 1997 truck like mine.

I use rockauto.com to make comparisons. Look at the part numbers for your truck and for the donor trucks. If they're the same, they will interchange.
