The shift indicator light, speedo, and tachometer malfunctions, with the regular transmission errors occuring aswell (failure to shift properly) also blinker arrows not flashing on dash. Replaced the ignition switch but the check engine light is still on and same problems are still occuring. Transmission codes are being thrown such as, shift solenoid A electrical, shift solenoid B electrical, shift timing malfunction, and a few others. I do not believe these codes were reset prior to, or after the installation of the new ignition switch. Could not resetting the codes cause the problems to continue or could it be the transmission needs to be replaced? Thanks for the help.

Check battery condition as it will set false codes if low. Autoparts does for free. Then rescan and get correct codes or h ave a trans guy scan it. It may be just a worn transmission and solenoids are working but because of slippage it sends acode. If fluid is dark brown or black then that is not a good sign at all and probably due a rebuild.

There's no slippage. Just failure to shift. Could the transmission going out cause electrical problems with my cluster?

The cluster may be the cluster going bad as there are stepper motors that fail on these. A pro would have to check it to see if power is coming to it or not.
