My manual Chevy S10 won't start, what could be the problem?

For months, off and on, it had to be cranked several times before it would start. Now it won't start at all. Battery is fine. and fuel pump primes. We replaced clutch relay and override sensors. No problems for a few months and then it started having to be cranked several times to start (just like past) and now won't start again.
