97 Cavalier manual transmission

My '97 Cavalier was in zero degree weather for a couple of days. Now I have to double pump my clutch to get the transmission to work, otherwise the clutch goes to the floorboard and the gears grind. Easy fix?

If the clutch drops with no pressure, check the slave cylinder and the clutch master cylinder. If that isn't the case, chances are the gear lube in the transmission is most likely really heavy and causing the problem. Check the owner's manual for recommendations for extreme condition / temps., and see if they recommend a lighter weight oil. It may just need serviced. Most people don't service manual transmissions, but they need serviced too.
