I have 1997 Cadillac SLS with 101,000 miles. The problem/s are it is hard starting the first time, usually starts after about 8 or 9 trys, then starts fine thereafter. It now runs rough sometimes, backfires when starting and engine shuts off at idle witho
The problem/s are it is hard starting the first time, usually starts after about 8 or 9 try's, then starts fine thereafter. It now runs rough sometimes, backfires when starting and engine shuts off at idle without warning.I also would like to know also where you get those computers that generate symptom readout codes. Do you have any recommendations about them?

check the fuel pressure, it may be bleeding down overnight.
go to any parts stores and they will show you the code readers.
