There was a recall. Car never taken for repair. Funeral home says they told him they either didn't have part or didn't make part. I want to buy, but won't pass emissions in Atlanta. If a trouble light is on they will not hook it up to the computer. I want to know if it can be fixed and what part(s) will fix. They put a price on it I can't turn down. I have his dad's 1972 hearse, and would like to have this one to go with it. The car looks new. He told me that I could buy for $800.00. I gave more for his dad's.

Cadillac DeVille Recall 97V064000
(Previous Expert Overview)
THE ELECTRONIC BRAKE CONTROL MODULE OR THE ELECTRONIC BRAKE AND TRACTION CONTROL MODULE CAN CAUSE THE ANTI -LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM (ABS) TO CYCLE DURING A NON-ABS BRAKE APPLICATION.
This is the only info I have. I don't have regular access to the vehicle, it stays in a garage. Hopefully this will help.

Get the engine codes pulled from the computer and report them back. It may be something simple.
