1997 Audi A6 Repair Question

Location of Engine coolant Temperature sensor
I need to replace my engine coolant Temperature sensor (Code P0116) on the engine block, but I can't find this sensor. Would anyone have and idea where it would be located.

The Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor is located on the coolant pipe in back of the left cylinder head.
