Serpentine belt
Put a new alternator belt and alternator on vehecle everything lined up but when I followed the routing of the belt with the diagram the belt seemed slightly sluggish. Started the vehicle, ran for a little then it shut and would not start, almost sounding like it jump time. What happened?

There is an early and late belt routing diagram, don't know which you have? Maybe you got the wrong belt? If the belt is too loose, check the tensioner.
