Hi , i have an astra p reg estate car. i replaced the alt as the windings burnt out, also repced battery as it had over heated. the dashboard airbag light comes on and lights brighten up, car revs go hi.. both the alt and bat now kaput
so what could be problem the bat anf alt less than 2 months old.
the battery smells like rotten egs when engine runs, battery now flat. alt looks burnt out
