Car has manual transmission and seems to be shifting gears fine. However, it doesn't have much pick up and is very slow to accelerate. Seems to do okay after it gets going, though. However, after shifting from 4th to 5th gears, it sometimes still shows the "arrow" indicating it needs to shift into a higher gear. Is this a transmission issue or clutch/pressure plate?

It sounds like a sensor issue. Have you had the computer scanned? As far as the power, that is more related to the engine rather than the trans.

Just to add to this one it sounds like your clutch is slipping the computer has no way of telling what gear the transmision is in. It compares your speed verus your rpms from what you wrote sounds like the clutch is slipping would explain telling you to shift to the next gear when in 5th also your slow excelleration. So when its slow to pick up speed does the rpms go up and not your speed?
