What is a possible solution to a cylinder 6 misfire?

My car sputters while idling and as I drive, hooked it up to a computer and it says cylinder 6 is misfiring. I dont know what to do

So the number 6 cylinder has a constant missfire?If so have you checked for a nice blue spark to that cylinder?Also compression on that cylinder?How about injector pulse?

I have not checked those but my mechanic is going to change the plugs and wires tomorrow morning. Could that solve it?

It might if you have a bad wire or worn or fouled plug. Let me know what you find.

If its yellow or orange spark its probably a bad coil if theres no spark you will have to check for power and ground pulse to the coil if its there bad coil. If your taking it to a mechanic he should know all this though or you need to find someone else to fix your car.

Ok I will make sure he knows about all this and see what he says. Hopefully the plugs and wires will fix it but I will let you know what happens tomorrow. Thanks for the help.

Changed the plugs for cylinders 2, 4, and 6 today. Cylinders 1, 3, and 5 will be done tomorrow. They were a pain in the ass for my mechanic to get out because there is such little space to work with. So far the car is running great so I'm thinking it fixed the misfire.
