Pontiac Firebird Fuel pressure Problem
My name it keith my dad is a mechanic. my car is a 1996 Pontiac fire bird , here lately is has been making the rpm's jump up and down and killing the car. we changed the fuel filter and it stopped but know it is doing it again and we cant figure out why do you have an idea why it is doing it.

scan for codes and check fuel pressure first. then clean throttle plate and iac hole with choke cleaner on both sides. fuel pressure 3.8L 48-55 psi 5.7L 41-47 psi key on engine off
