1996 Pontiac Firebird Repair Question

96 pont t/a door locks
The keyless entry works for a few minutes then the unlock no longer works. unlock door with key, press unlock switch on door, nogo. put key in ignition, turn, wah-lah button and keyless unlock buttons work again!? (scratch head)

Start with doing a scan for any unresolved fault codes a high end scanner should be able to test BCM functions such as this, let me know what you find.
