I put a key into ignition and silence, the car wont start. I tried to jump start, didn't work, even automatic buttons such as locking the car not functioning. Complete silence, no ignition noise nothing. Please can you tell me what it can be and how much it will cost me to fix it. Thank you.

Start by checking the battery cable connections to be sure they're clean and tight. Next, follow the smaller positive battery wire to see if it goes to an under-hood fuse box. If it does, be sure that connection is clean and tight. Follow the smaller negative battery wire to where it bolts to the body and be sure that one is tight and not rusty. If that all looks okay, use a test light or voltmeter to see if you have voltage on any of the fuses.
