How to replace water pump

Disconnect battery ground cable and drain cooling system.
On models with power steering, remove power steering pump and bracket leaving hoses connected, and secure pump aside.
Remove timing belt as outlined under Timing Belt.
Remove alternator brace and disconnect hoses from water pump.
Remove water pump bolts, noting length and position for installation reference, then the water pump, gasket and O-ring.
Reverse procedure to install, noting following:

Torque 28 mm pump bolts to 10 ft. Lbs.
Torque 65 mm pump bolt to 17 ft. Lbs.

Not an easy job for doing at home. You can cause a lot of damage with the timing belt if you have not done it before.
