I have A 96 mercury mustique W/2.0 .
The overdrive on/off indicator light will
start flashing.
When I turn the car off and start it again, the light will funtion normal untill I drive 5 or 10 miles it will start again.
After A week of this, the transaxle went out all at once without warning, no fwrd or revrse. I tryed 3 days later I had fwrd & rev, but for only for A 1/4 mi. or so.
Are there any solenoids in that trans that would cause this?
Any info will be appreciated.
