My 1996 mercury cougar xr7 is shutting off after i fire it up. it starts up and then idles down. Whats causing this to happen?
My 1996 mercury cougar xr7 is shutting off after i fire it up. it starts up and then idles down. Whats causing this to happen? i gap the spark plugs i sealed the intake manifold and the fuel injector gasket.

scan for codes, check fuel pressure, clean throttle plate on both sides with choke cleaner, an dcheck for vacuum leaks.
