Mazda 626 Distributor Problem
Car starts and shuts down after a few seconds is a mazda 626 96 2.5 engine did timing belt water pump fuel pump distributor cap and rotor new crank sensor the whole nine yards my son took the car for a 12 hour trip it ran fine but the next day everything start happening starts and then stalls sometimes the rpm works sometimes it doesnt thanks for your help

check all your connections first.

I did but after it starts it looses sparks and shuts down

check the distributor for oil inside. if there is, the distributor has failed

I just replaced with a used one and doesn't have any oil inside I took it out this afternoon I also check the wire for resistance and they are working fine

it still could be bad. they are very common for failing and using a used one is a recipe for disaster

Do you know what's the resistance on the distributor when I check it was giving me .10 resistance and also I used my friends distributor and his car is running fine so far this is the third one

i would just get a remaned one with a warranty
