Hello, I really need your help. We have had to replace the front wheel bearings on my 96 Kia Sportage, but are finding that we are having problems putting the nut back on. We thought we had it on right until I drove the car and one of the front tires came off. On this year of sportage there is nothing else that holds the bearing on as well as the tire on except this nut that has to screw on I am guessing its called the front wheel spindle, anyway you know what I mean. Its as if the nut backed off once the tire started moving. Can you please help us with this, I just can't trust driving my car right now with it doing this. I don't want to die from losing a tire while driving down the road. There has to be something that we are not doing right for this to happen. Any advise or any help with this would be most appreciated. Thank You:

See pic everything with an arrow pointing to it should hold the bearings in. Undless something is damaged. As far as your tire coming off that is different that is the lug or lug nut problem. Make sure both are in good condition as well as where it seats against the wheel. Tires should be torqued 65-87 ft lbs each lug. The lug nuts may be damaged so I would suggest carefully checking studs then if more than 1or 2 are damaged replace that whole part. Also youmay want new lug nuts as well.

Well I can tell you that the tire keep coming off because of the lock nut, if it is not holding right then the tire will fall off. My problem was not with the lug nuts which are fine. If you know anything about replacing the front wheel bearing on a 1996 Kia Sportage 2wd then you would know that if the lock nut, or also called the spindle nut, is not put back in the right position, and tighten just right, then yes your tire will come of the spindle. I found what I needed thru greenflagauto. Com, they are really good with automotive repair, and walk you thru everything. Thanks Anyway.
