Display screen has gone blank.This tells me if there is a car door open,etc.And displays the time.

Are you referring to the Traveler Computer that displays fuel mileage? I've repaired thousands of radios for no display but never a Traveler Computer. I HAVE replaced dead switches on a few many years ago. Check the fuses first inside and under the hood.
