My car was making loud scraping sounds i thought it was my water pump and as i was taking off the belt i notice.the pulley behind the hormonic bal.was real loose and i could more it by hand and notice that the scraping sound was coming from that pulley.and when car is in idle alternator gauge is below 13 and scraping sounds.when car is on the road alternator gauge is normal and scraping sounds goes away.
