Wipers and radio sometimes do not work

When starting the car the wipers and radio sometimes do not work; more often in hot weather. The car starts properly and will run properly other than the wipers and radio not working. What causes this problem with the wipers and radio?

I found that its caused due to the ignition cylinder getting stuck slightly between on and start. Try ever so slightly turning the key towards you while the engine is running and see if that solves the problem. I replaced mine and have not had a problem since.
