1996 Honda Civic Repair Question

My 96 honda civic ex automatic went into neutral while i was driving
It went into neutral when i stopped at a light then wouldnt go into gear while i was driving. the rpm will go up but the speedo isnt working i can let it sit for a couple of mins then i can drive but a min later it goes back into neutral. the trans fluid just got changed about a month ago

internal failure. it will most likely have to come out and be overhauled.
