I just bought the car today. Engine starts right up and sounds great when running. Shifts very smooth up and down in gear. After driving briefly on the highway I noticed a knocking sound which seemed to be coming from under my feet. I could feel it in the floor board as well. It
Only happened when I let off the gas and then one time as I was slowing down to turn into a parking spot. Any suggestions would be great!

Have you checked motor and transmission mounts? If you feel it when you release the throttle, one could be allowing the engine to shift.

Your catalytic converter may be coming apart and rattling inside the housing. Also you may have an axel joint clicking.

It actually turned out to be my exhaust system. The shotty repair job done on it left it loose which was causing it to rattle and "knock" off of the hanger bolt. Thank you for the suggestions
