Hi,
Your accord has rear drum brakes, correct? Your problem sounds very much like rear brake shoes that are sticking to the drum. Shoe type brake are a self energizing design, meaning they want to stay applied while braking in a forward direction. This explains why your noise is not present while backing, but is when you are moving forward. An accumulation of brake dust can cause this condition. Remove the rear drums and spray the shoe assembly and the inside of the drum liberally with a good quality brake cleaner, let it dry completely and reassemble. I believe your concern will be gone. Keep me posted. Doc DTC
