I thought I had a driver's side drive shaft.

I thought I had a driver's side drive shaft issue on my Prizm, but when it is on a hoist and I move the wheel back and forth, it appears the play is where the drive shaft goes into the transaxle. Is there a bearing or bushinh here that wears/is replaceable? Any ideas? Could it still be a drive shaft issue, or is it transaxle and not worth repairing?

If you move the wheel back and forth, then there is movement somewhere else. It could be a tie rod end.

Have it double checked to confirm that the axle is in fact bad
