Changed the water pump, set the timing and put it all back together, 3 times now, turns over but won't start. Is there a mode it may go into that I don't know about and how do I reset it?
Do you
have the same problem?

Hey Mr. Witty, Had to take the timing belt off to replace the water pump. Guess you never worked on a 96 Probe.

Apparently you think we are mind readers and we are supposed to know what it is you were repairing. Water pumps are routinely changed with a timing belt repair so how are we supposed to know what actually failed. The reason I asked is that this is an interference engine and if the engine was rotated with the belt off or broken, it will bend a bunch of valves. Good luck with repairing it and I hope you're not so disrespectful to the next tech that tries to help you.

Actually I mentioned I was replacing the waterpump and thought you were being disrespectful, if I misunderstood your reply I apologize. Have a good one and thanks. It is an interference engine, thankfully that, s not the problem. Thanks again, Gina
