hi there i have a ford rs 2000 escort,the main beam comes on at different times on there own & also the alarm sometimes goes off any ideas thanks

Check the headlight switch and multi-function switch for shorts or bad grounds. As far as the alarm, if the light is staying on, have a dealer diagnose it. They have the proper equipment. If there is no light, it could deal with the body control module (BCM).
