1996 Ford Contour no heat

I'm not sure why I don't have heat. None of the switches work, and it sometimes tries to blow something out but nothing seems to happen. I was wondering if you would possibly know what it would be and how much?

Start by checking all of the fuses, and if they are ok check the relays. Also with the key on and the blower speed switch on high try tapping on the heater box below the glove compartment gently with a rubber mallet or equivalent and see what happens.

I haven't got to look at my fuses yet. I just bought this car two days ago, and the person I bought it from said she don't know why the heat don't work. Cause my light doesn't even come on for defrost or anything.

Step 1 - A heater cannot operate unless the engine is full of coolant/antifreeze. If coolant level is low check the system for leaks.
