Do you have a check engine light or has flashed and disappeared, also when was last major tune-up??

Won't hold idle w/o foot on the gas pedal, Possibilities here could be a problem with the idle air control motor, EGR and PCV valves, throttle position sensor and MAP sensor-also check fuel pressure-
