Couldn't find the reason for blower not running(runs fine off the battery) put the dash back together and now the dome and radio are not working. Checked all the fuses under the hood and under the drivers side panel. All fuses are fine. Any ideas?

We just went and bought one. Anywhere we should check first? Someone on the internet said they had the same issue with this truck and it was a relay? We found the chart for the fuses onling and checked the fuse for radio/dome light. It was fine. No, it is not factory radio but it has always worked fine until now when he took the dash apart. Everything else besides the dome and radio is fine. Well, except we never figured out wht the blower isnt working :/ he said something about running a hot wire to it with a switch but then this other issue came up. He's in over his head lol! Thanks!

He redid a ground and got the blower going again(only on high speed) the dome light comes on when you start the engine but not when we open the door the stereo works fine now but no turn signals. He took out the fuse to the door buzzer( it was driving him nuts lol) and I wonder if that has anything to do with it. He's putting that back in in the morning. It's def. A ground issue.

Manual ac and v6. The tailgate light works but not brake lights. Where does the mesh strap hanging from the steering column go. It is hanging and we are wondering if this is connected.

Because there is a constant power going to the blower motor and the ground goes to the switch and the switch sends ground thru the blower motor resistor for all speeds.

The ground for the blower motor is located to the left of the radio.

Is that where the mesh strap goes? It comes off of the steering column but we dont know where it connects. Go to a firewall? Where does the cluster on the steering column go. Does it need to be grounded as well?

So he grounded the black wire to switch? If so then with the switch in the low setting the tan wire should have ground. Then in the meduim one 1 setting the light green wire should have ground. In meduim 2 setting the light blue wire should have ground out of the switch. If you do and the blower only works on the high setting bad blower motor resistor.I will help you figure things out but one circuit at a time I have to look up each circuit. We have a big mess on our hands if all this stuffed before tearing apart the dash then a big mess was caused be removing it.I dont know where the strap goes the steering column shouldnt need its own ground. Ask your dad he probably removed it when he tore the dash out. Now what circuit do you want to look at next?
