Won't go in reverse in icy conditions up a 3-5% grade
1996 Chrysler LHS
in the winter in Lake Tahoe the car will go forward up the driveway-(3 to 5% grade) when its icy with the chains on, but it won't back up. The gears do not seem to ingage. The oil level is OK. No ice on the road it works fine.

if you put it in neutral were you roll down the hill backward?
