Going to change plugs on my '96 Cirrus with v-6, 2.5 liter engine. For the rear bank, do I need to remove upper plenum to get to them? Or can I get to them from underneath car, without removing upper intake? I have heard both ways may be possible. Any suggestions?

The upper intake must be removed. There is no way to get them from the bottom.
