After changing the automatic transmission in my Chevy 4X4, the starter relay fuse keeps blowing. Why?

The transmission broke into two peices and after changing it the starter relay fuse keeps blowing. I never disconnected the starter, just the battery.

Check the wires at the starter and make dire nothing is touching the block. Make sure no wires are caught in the bell housing as well.

Inspect all wiring underneath could be a pinch wire that's causing a direct short to ground thats blowing the starter relay fuse-when the tranny was replaced-
