1996 Chevrolet Tahoe Repair Question

What is wrong?
Hi, 1996 Tahoe ran hot one night. Took it about 3miles the next day and it shut down. Towed it home and checked the oil IT LOOKED LIKE CHOCOLATE MILK. **HELP!!!**

Check for a bad head gasket. It sounds like coolant got into the oil.

Is that really bad? My neighbor looked at it and told me that means the engine was shot.

You may be able to get away with just a gasket replacement.
